- Vicki Herndon calls on a regular basis at the dances in Tennessee and throughout the southeastern United States. Added URL (July 26, 2010)
- Dances have returned to Wallingford on 3rd (generally) Sunday afternoons from September to March at the Wallingford Grange Hall in Connecticut. New entry (July 18, 2010)
- The 2nd Saturday dance in Exeter, New Hampshire, is held at the First Unitarian Society of Exeter (UU Church). There is a beginners' workshop at 7:30pm and the dance begins at 8:00pm. The cost is $6.00 with students admitted for $3.00 and kids under 10 free. To get to the dance, take Route 101 to Exeter, Route 108 to Exeter
Center, to "Kiosk" (Bandstand), turn left, go up hill to Elm Street. Left
onto Elm Street. The dance is at the SECOND church on the left, just before

- The folks in and around Gilmanton, New Hampshire go dancing on 2nd Saturdays at the Historic Gilmanton Academy Building. New entry (July 5, 2010)
- There is a contra dance, year-around, on the 3rd Friday of each

- The Milford, New Hampshire, Parks and Recreation Commission sponsors contra dances on the 4th Friday of each month. Slight change of URL (July 5, 2010)
- There's a 1st Thursday dance at the Dover (New Hampshire) City Hall with the Lamprey River Band playing the music and Peter Yarensky and Sarah Mason calling. Slight change of URL (July 5, 2010)
- The public library in Keene, New Hampshire hosts a family dance, generally once a month and usually on the 1st Friday from November to May. Change of URL (July 5, 2010)

- The Memphis
Contra Dancers host dances on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays of each month.

- Smoke
and Mirrors is comprised of Deborah Gerstein (piano) Damaris Rohsenow (Hammer Dulcimer), and Ryan Thomson (Fiddle, Flute, Banjo). They play for dances throughout New England. Change of URL (June 17, 2010)
- There are dances in Galilee, Pennsylvania on the third Saturday of each month from May to November at 7:00pm to 10:00pm at the Unity Grange, 554 Galilee Road. - There will be contra dances on San Juan Island, Washington, on Monday nights from June 28, 2010 to August 30, 2010 at the English Camp Visitor Center in the National Historic Park. New entry (May 22, 2010)
- There will be a contra dance this Friday May 21, 2010 in Burlington, IA, right across the Mississippi River from Illinois. The Lemmings are playing, with Dan Moffitt calling. The dance is at Hibernia Hall, 1204 Washington. Doors open for lessons at 6:30, dancing starts at 7. Admission is $5 and will be split between the band and the Heritage Trust, the non-profit historic preservation organization that restored Hibernia Hall (a former church). - Dances in San Diego are sponsored by the San Diego Folk Heritage on the first, third, and fifth Fridays and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month (all this in general; check schedule for exceptions). Steve Barlow furnishes this information. San Diego Folk Heritage, is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California. In additional to the regularly scheduled contra dances, they hold an
