Because most of the information is gathered from web sites and the listings are not updated as frequently as the web sites, dancers should visit the web sites for up-to-date information. Washington DC - Squares - Calling Workshop: Have you ever wanted to try calling a square dance? Ever been at a party where everyone wanted to dance, but no one knew the moves? Now's your chance to learn! From 1 to 5 PM at the Hillyer Art Space, we'll be hosting an introductory workshop on square dance calling, perfect for total beginners through intermediate callers. No dance calling experience necessary - we'll get you up and running in no time flat! The workshop will be at the Hillyer Art Space, 9 Hillyer Court NW, Washington, DC 20008. It's a few blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro. Cost of $20 for the calling class includes written materials, live music and admission to the evening dance. PLUS, you'll have the opportunity to call at the evening dance, if you want to try out your new skills! Washington DC - Contra: The Capitol Hill Dance occurs on the last Saturday of each month. Come dance with us at North Hall in Eastern Market, 7th and North Carolina SE, two blocks north of the Eastern Market Metro stop on the blue and orange lines. Time: 2:30pm-5:00pm. Web site: None.
